Making a difference to people with a disability
We believe every person with a disability in the UK deserves to be recognised, supported and rewarded — not defined by their condition, but respected for who they are and the challenges they navigate every day.
Recognised by enabling individuals to identify themselves as having a disability when it matters most. Supported by providing practical tools, trusted information, a wellbeing hub and access to supportive services. Rewarded through meaningful discounts, offers, treats, gifts and giveaways.
We first met as seven-year-olds back in the 80s, sharing a love of BMX bikes, football and computers. After university, that passion grew into a successful online automotive business, which we ran for over 20 years before selling in 2021 after being approached by a major brand.
Our entrepreneurial journey then led us to create digital platforms and mobile apps designed to recognise and reward people who give so much to society, including those working within blue light services.
At the same time, our own families were experiencing the realities of disability, long-term health conditions and the need for ongoing support. As our grandparents required increasing levels of care, we saw first-hand how challenging everyday life can become — from accessing services to simply being understood.
This experience inspired us to create CarersCardUK, a national card and app supporting unpaid carers. The success of CarersCardUK and the growth of one of the UK’s largest carer communities showed us the powerful impact that recognition, understanding and practical support can have.
Through this work, it became clear that many people with a disability face similar barriers themselves — a lack of recognition, difficulty explaining their needs, and limited access to tailored support and opportunities - DisabilityCardUK was created in response.
Built on the experience, trust and learning gained through CarersCardUK, DisabilityCardUK is designed to recognise, support and reward people with a disability. Through a national ID card and app, we help individuals access understanding, practical tools, supportive services and meaningful rewards that make everyday life a little easier.
“My nan passed away peacefully at the grand old age of 95. Before she passed, she lived with Alzheimer’s, which progressed over many years. During that time, I watched my mum slowly transition from daughter to carer, and I also saw first-hand how my nan’s world became smaller as everyday tasks, environments and conversations became more challenging.
That experience shaped my belief that support shouldn’t only sit around care — it should also empower the person living with a disability. DisabilityCard had to be more than just an ID card. It needed to genuinely help people navigate daily life by unlocking understanding, practical tools, advice, resources, support and meaningful opportunities. It also had to work nationally, not just locally.”
I have over 20 years’ experience in project management, delivering bespoke digital solutions and improving business performance. I’m currently supporting my wife, who has been diagnosed with CFS and Lyme disease. When I’m not working, you’ll find me “trying” to play football at the age of 47 and following my beloved local football club.
“For almost ten years I saw my mum support my grandmother as her health declined. Alongside the care she received, I also witnessed the frustration my grandmother experienced as her independence reduced and her needs were often misunderstood or overlooked.
That experience made it clear that people living with a disability need better recognition, understanding and practical support in their own right. DisabilityCard was created to help remove some of those barriers and give people a simple way to communicate their needs and access support with dignity.”
I have over 20 years’ experience developing digital products and services, partner acquisition, marketing and business strategy. Outside of DisabilityCardUK, I spend as much time as possible with my family.

Whether it’s in the workplace, online, or on your local high street, we are committed to championing people with a disability across the UK. We work hard to raise awareness, improve understanding and challenge misconceptions around disability.
We also help individuals recognise and confidently communicate their needs, empowering them to access the support, adjustments and opportunities that can make everyday life easier. By advocating for greater inclusion and recognition, we aim to ensure people with a disability feel seen, supported and valued — wherever life takes them.
People with a disability face everyday challenges that are often unseen or misunderstood. Behind every disability is a real person with real experiences that deserve recognition and respect.
DisabilityCard provides practical support to help people communicate their needs with confidence, access understanding, and feel supported in everyday situations. Alongside this, we offer real benefits — including rewards, discounts and opportunities that make daily life a little easier.
Your experiences matter. You deserve to be recognised, supported and valued.
We’re fully committed to providing meaningful support for people with a disability, recognising the everyday challenges they face and the importance of being understood and supported.
To ensure our services truly reflect the needs, experiences and aspirations of disabled people, we created an Advisory Board.
Our board is made up of individuals with lived experience of disability and those who work closely within the disability community. Their insight helps guide our decisions, ensuring everything we do remains relevant, inclusive and responsive to the evolving needs of the people we exist to support.
Anyone with a disability deserves recognition, support and savings — so we’ve kept our price accessible to all.
No hidden fees. Renew after two years for the same price.
